1776-1976 S Silver Clad Variety 1 (approx. 4,000,000 p) Released by the mint through 1982, when rising silver prices ended the issue, this coin is the last of the big silver dollars. They are well struck coins, originally sold in three-piece sets with the Bicentennial quarter and half dollar. These coins, as the other Bicentennial issues, could have been made in either 1975 or 1976.
